Pets

We love furry friends! Here are the rules for dogs:

  • Add dog to registration and pay the $40 pet fee.
  • Only one (1) dog will be allowed. We are unable to accommodate other animals at this time.
  • Must be house trained and well-behaved.
  • No dogs under 1 year old.
  • Must be kept on a leash when outside.
  • Not allowed to be alone inside at any time.
  • Expect to keep your dog with you at all times or arrange pet care.
  • Use dog bed provided or use a throw blanket over furniture.
  • Should your dog damage any furniture or cause extra cleaning to occur after check out, you agree to be financially responsible for extra these charges.

Damages

Guest may be held financially responsible for any purposeful and/or excessive damage to items, linens, furniture, appliances or structure, and is required to inform the owner immediately if there are damages. We understand accidents happen.

PLEASE do not smoke in the home. This includes: cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, e-cigarettes or cigars. You will be held financially responsible for extra cleaning services/damages if you smoke in the home.

Pool

Pool/Hot tub hours: 6am- 11pm. The pool is seasonal; usually open from April to October, weather permitting. The hot tub is open year round.

Check-in/Check-out

Check-in time is 4:00pm.

Check-out time is seasonal: October-February is 11:00am. March-September is 10:00am.

Ask if you need a later check-out up to 11:30am. We often can accommodate this at no charge.

Please check and re-check for your belongings before you leave as there will be a minimum of a $25 handling fee if you request that items be shipped back to you. This fee is in addition to the cost of the actual shipping from the post office. All unclaimed items will be donated to the local thrift store after one week.

Housekeeping

The cleaning fee is for the clean and sanitized home you arrive to. Please be reasonable, responsible and respectful during your stay.

A note about cleaning fees/check-out requests: Please understand that Tranquility Trails is not a hotel (we offer so much more) and we don’t run it like a hotel. We understand that you are on vacation and that you have paid a cleaning fee. 100% of the fee goes directly to our cleaners. Unlike many other vacation rentals and most hotels, we fully wash and sanitize all linens; including blankets, quilts, sheets and pillow cases between each guest. We also sanitize the couches and throw pillows. We do all of this on top the regular cleaning tasks. This takes 4-6 hours, which is why we kindly request (not require) a little help from you. On behalf of our cleaners, we kindly ask 2 things of you at check out: wash your dishes & remove your trash. If you are short on time, or feel this is too much to ask, we understand. Please be reasonable, responsible and respectful. Thank you.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our guests as much as possible. However, to ensure the smooth operation of our short-term rental and to provide fair treatment to both guests and hosts, we have established the following cancellation policy:

  1. Cancellation Period: Guests may cancel their reservation up to 14 days before the scheduled check-in date and time to receive a full refund, excluding any service fees.
  2. Refund Eligibility: If a guest cancels their reservation within the 14-day period before check-in, they will not be eligible for a refund unless the property can be rebooked for the same dates and at the same rate. If the property is rebooked, the guest will receive a full refund, excluding any service fees.
  3. Cancellation Process: Guests must notify us of their intention to cancel their reservation by email or through our booking platform. The cancellation will be considered effective from the date and time the notification is received.
  4. Refund Processing: The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the reservation.
  5. Extenuating Circumstances: In the event of extenuating circumstances, such as natural disasters, severe weather events, or government-mandated travel restrictions, we may waive the cancellation policy and provide a full refund.
  6. No-Shows: Guests who do not arrive for their reservation without prior notice will be considered as “no-shows” and will not be eligible for any refund.
  7. Modification of Reservation: Guests may modify their reservation dates subject to availability and any applicable rate differences. Any modification request must be made at least 14 days before the original check-in date.
  8. Host Discretion: In exceptional cases, the host reserves the right to make exceptions to this cancellation policy based on individual circumstances.

By making a reservation with us, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this cancellation policy.

The rest of these Terms and Conditions cover basic legal requirements for use of the home.

Use of Property

Guests expressly acknowledge and agree that this agreement is for transient occupancy of the property, and that Guests do not intend to make the property a residence or household nor will it be used for commercial purposes.

Subletting

The Guest shall not have the right to sublet the property.

Shortened Stays and Conditions

Refunds of rents due to shortened stays or ruined expectations because of weather conditions is entirely at the discretion of the owner.

Firearms and Hazardous Materials

Firearms shall not be allowed on the premises. Guest agrees that fireworks and other hazardous materials shall not be used in or around the property.

Illegal Use

Guest shall use the property for legal purposes only and other use, such as but not limited to, illegal drug use, abuse of any person, harboring fugitives, etc. shall cause termination of this agreement with no refund of rents or deposits.
